How can we help?

Futbol Cup 2026 Tracker is a small, local-only app for following the 2026 international soccer tournament — groups, brackets, rosters, and your own pick-the-winner predictions. Here's the gist of how it works and how to reach me.

FAQ

Where do the rosters come from?

All 48 final squads (~1,247 players) ship inside the app. They were compiled from publicly published national federation lists as of June 2, 2026. Coach and club affiliation are included; jersey numbers are intentionally omitted — they change the most up to kickoff and we wanted name + position + club to stay stable.

How do scores update?

The app fetches scores from FIFA's public calendar API on launch, then automatically every 15 minutes while open. You can also tap Sync on the Calendar tab to refresh on demand. If the source lags, you can enter a score by hand on any match — your manual entry always wins.

Why doesn't the bracket pick auto-fill the next round?

It does, but only once a result is known. Enter a Round of 32 score, and that match's winner replaces "Winner of Match 73" on the Round of 16 card it feeds.

What's the gold / silver / bronze coloring?

Gold = group winner, silver = runner-up — both advance to the Round of 32 automatically. Bronze is reserved for the eight best 3rd-placed teams across all 12 groups (the "3rd from A/B/C/D/F" slot on knockout cards), since those are the only 3rd-place finishes that actually advance.

What's "Device" in the timezone picker?

"Device" follows whatever timezone your phone is currently set to, automatically — even if you change it after picking. Pick a specific city instead and the app pins to that zone regardless of where your phone thinks it is.

Do my picks sync between devices?

No. Picks and manually-entered scores live only on the device that made them. There are no accounts and no cloud sync.
